Kelly Chen is a writer, improviser, and researcher working and living in Philadelphia, PA.  She produces hardware and software to reveal the intersecting histories of computation, craft, moving image, and dramaturgy, as they relate to authority, resistance, and agency in social and political systems. Her performances utilize shadows, amplified surfaces, motors, sensors, radios, field recordings. 

Her performances seek to problematize technological routines and expose the drama of everyday life.
